What AudioEye sells
Their plans page lists three tiers, named Automated, Self-Managed and Managed. The company describes its platform as combining automation with human-assisted work, and says its automation can fix up to half of the issues it detects within minutes of installation. The front page also carries the phrase “Guaranteed compliance, without all the fine print”.
Read from audioeye.com on 23 August 2026. We could not find a price for any of the three tiers on that page. The dollar amounts printed there belong to a calculator estimating what doing the work yourself would cost, which is a different number entirely.
We are not saying their claims are wrong. We have not tested their product, and the human half of what they sell is not something a scanner could evaluate anyway. What we can tell you is why we do not say those words ourselves.
Why we do not sell a guarantee
Two things we would have to know, and cannot
The first is your visitors. Automated checks find roughly a third of accessibility problems. The rest are things a machine cannot judge: whether your alt text describes the right thing, whether an error message makes sense when you cannot see the field it belongs to, whether the order things happen in is followable. We never see any of that, so we are in no position to promise you an outcome that depends on it.
The second is your code. We open your site from outside, exactly as a stranger would. That is a genuine strength for monitoring, and it is a hard limit for promising: we cannot fix a page we cannot edit, and we would not know whether your next deploy undid something until the next Monday, which is precisely what we do tell you.
This is the trade. A supplier who works inside your site can offer more. A supplier who never touches it can be checked by you, every week, against yesterday.
Side by side, as far as we can honestly compare
AudioEye
- Automation together with human work
- Three tiers: Automated, Self-Managed, Managed
- No plan price on the page we read
- Sold as a solution
Scandiary
- Automation only, and we say so first
- One paid tier, plus a free plan
- 12 dollars a month, or 120 a year
- Sold as a list of what changed
Every Monday we open the pages you asked us to watch, at desktop width and at 380 pixels, and email you the difference from last week: what appeared, what disappeared, what stayed. When a week is clean we send that too, because an empty report you can trust is worth more than a busy one you cannot.
When AudioEye is the better choice for you
Most of the time, if you are asking these questions
- You need people, not findings. Manual testing, remediation, documentation, someone accountable for the outcome. We employ none of that on your behalf and we do not subcontract it.
- Legal pressure is already on you. A weekly diff is not a defence and we will not dress it up as one. Talk to a supplier who sells support for exactly that situation, and to a lawyer.
- Your site is large or complicated. We watch a handful of pages well. That is a different product from covering an estate of them.
Where we are worth the twelve dollars: you have already had the work done, or you write the code yourself, and what you actually need is to be told when it breaks again.
Try the free plan first
Five pages, scanned every Monday, no card and no end date. Read a couple of the emails before you decide whether this belongs in your stack at all.
